Can't Find My Choir or Join Link Issues

Fix invitation, account, capacity, and choir-switching problems

On this page

  • If the invitation link does not work
  • Use the invitation code instead
  • If ChoirMate says the email is already in use
  • If the choir is full
  • If you joined but cannot see the choir
  • Contact support

Choirs in ChoirMate are private. You need a current invitation link or 12-digit invitation code from someone who manages the choir. There is no public directory for joining a choir by name.

Info

If you do not have an invitation, contact the choir. ChoirMate support cannot add someone without the choir's authorization.

If the invitation link does not work

  1. Open the link on the phone or tablet where ChoirMate is installed.
  2. Install or update ChoirMate from the App Store or Google Play, then open the original link again.
  3. If the link opened inside an email or social-media app, use its Open in browser action and continue in Safari or Chrome.
  4. Sign in with your existing ChoirMate account. Do not create a second account just to join another choir.
  5. If the joining page does not return after sign-in, open the original invitation again.

A choir can disable an invitation link, give it an expiry date, or replace it with a new invitation. If the link still fails, ask an administrator to send the current link and code.

Use the invitation code instead

The same invitation normally contains a code formatted as 1234-5678-9012. ChoirMate accepts the 12 digits and inserts the hyphens in the code field.

In the mobile app, open Menu, select your name, and use Join your choir or Add an additional choir. Enter the current code and select Join choir. The joining controls are also available from your profile on the web.

For the complete entry flow, see Join Your Choir on ChoirMate.

If the code is rejected:

  • compare all 12 digits with the invitation
  • do not reuse a code from an older invitation, because creating a new invitation replaces the previous one
  • ask the administrator whether the invitation is still enabled and valid
  • check the internet connection and try once more

If ChoirMate says the email is already in use

Return to the normal sign-in screen and sign in instead of registering. Use password reset if you no longer know the password for that email address.

If a choir administrator already added you by email, use that exact email address for your ChoirMate account. Ask the administrator to check the spelling and status of your entry in the member list.

If the choir is full

ChoirMate notifies the choir's administrators when a joining attempt reaches the active-member capacity. The choir must free a place or move to a capacity that covers the additional member. Support cannot override the choir's plan limit for an individual joiner.

If you joined but cannot see the choir

  • Confirm that you are signed in with the account that accepted the invitation.
  • Close and reopen the app, or reload ChoirMate on the web.
  • Open Menu and select your name to view or switch between your choirs.
  • Ask an administrator to confirm that your account appears as an active member, using the same email address.

One ChoirMate account can belong to several choirs. Joining an additional choir does not replace the choirs already connected to the account.

Contact support

If the choir administrator confirms that the current invitation and member entry are correct, contact support@choirmate.com from your registered email address. Include the choir name, the step that failed, the exact error message, and whether you used the link or code.

Do not publish or send the full invitation code to anyone except the choir administrator or ChoirMate support. A current code can be used to request access to the choir.
