ChoirMate is a service that gathers all your choir-needs in one place. ChoirMate is owned by Sounds Good AS.

This privacy policy will provide you with information about how Sounds Good AS (referred to as 'us' og 'we' going forward) handle your private information (referred to as 'you' or 'yours' going forward).

What type of personal information do we collect, and why

Personal information is information and evaluations linked to you as an individual.

The personal information about you that will be handled and stored by us is:

Your email address and name
Any content you upload to the service
Information about what subscription you're subscribing to

The purpose of our handling of your personal information is to identify you as a user of our services, deliver the services agreed upon (for example store and synchronize contents between the tablet(s) or phone(s) you're using), communicate with you and improve our services.

Sounds Good handle your personal information only when:

It's necessary to be able to provide you with the services agreed upon
To maintain our legal obligations
When there's any justified reasons to do so

Who do we share your personal information with?

We will only share your information when it's strictly necessary, and even then we will share as little as possible.

We share information with police, courts of law and other governmental and/or public authorities that have a legal right to demand we share your personal information with them.

In addition we share your personal information with the following vendors, to be able to deliver our services to you:

Google Cloud Firestore and Google Cloud Storage

Information: Any and all content you choose to upload in the app, such as sheet music, mp3's and messages
Why do we use your information?: To be able to do backups and synchronize your content bewteen your devices. Shareable content like mp3's and messages must be stored here so that other users may access them.
Where do we store the information?: in Europe

Google Firebase Authentication

Information: Email and name
Why do we use your information?: To identify you as a user
Where do we store the information?: in the United States of America

Google Firebase Crashlytics

Information: Your phone make and model, operating system, log of app usage (we only store the log for the time period of an eventual crash to be able to analyze what went wrong and to fix bugs) Personal information is never included
Why do we use your information?: So we can access the data necessary to fix bugs and issues within the service
Where do we store the information?: in the United States of America

Stripe

Information: Name, address, email, credit card information if selected
Why do we use your information?: To support subscriptions and payments for services
Where do we store the information?: in the United States of America under the following privacy policy

Mailchimp

Information: Name, email address, your choir affiliation
Why do we use your information?: To distribute relevant information to subscribers to ChoirMate
Where do we store the information?: in the United States of America

Sendgrid

Information: Email and name
Why do we use your information?: To send transaction based emails from the service
Where do we store the information?: in the United States of America

Google Cloud BigQuery

Information: Phone make and model, operating system, log from time period of crash, group affiliation. Personal information is never included.
Why do we use your information?: To have access to necessary data for bug fixes within the service, to gain information about how the service is utilized by users so we in turn can develop the service further
Where do we store the information?: in the United States of America

Google Analytics

Information: When and how you utilize the different functions within the service. For example when you check in to a calendar event. Personal information is never included. IP addresses are included to gain information about which country and city you're in, but this is never stored.
Why do we use your information?: To see where and how the service is being used so we in turn can gain access to knowledge necessary to further develop the service
Where do we store the information?: in the United States of America

Tawk.to

Information: Browser type and language, referring website, IP address, time of enquiries, name, e-mail
Why do we use your information?: To be able to provide customer support, understand users and possess the necessary data to correct errors that occur in the service
Where do we store the information?: in the United States of America

We will always sign data processing agreements with our vendors to ensure we meet our obligations to the General Data Protection Regulation and make sure our vendors don't use your data for any other purposes. If your personal information is stored outside the EU/EØS, we make sure the vendor/country can ensure a satisfactory level of security, for example that they follow the EU Model Contract Clauses.

What are your rights?

Because we handle your personal information, you have rights. You have the right to:

know what information we collect.
demand we keep your information updated and correct your information if it's incorrect.
demand your information be completely deleted from our records.
data portability (that we hand over your information to you)
protest our handling of your information.
make a complaint about our handling of your personal information or to send a formal complaint to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.

Complaints, dispute resolution and applicable law

These Terms and the use and/or purchase of ChoirMate shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway. The customer may further submit a complaint to the Norwegian Consumer Council. For more information, please see forbrukerradet.no. The customer may also raise a claim for the ordinary Norwegian courts.

Storing personal information

Duration

We store your personal information for as long as you have a user account with ChoirMate. If you request we delete your user account you'll lose access to the service and your data will be deleted within 3 months.

Data security

Data traffic between the service and data centers are encrypted.
Your content within the service (messages, mp3's, attendance etc) will be encrypted and stored in Google data centers ('encrypted at rest').
Checklists and routines are used regularly to ensure the security in the app, service, infrastructure and with employees.

Changes to our privacy policy

We will update our privacy policy regularly. Updated versions can be found at all times within the app and on our web page. If we make changes and amends regarding our handling of your personal information, the privacy policy will be updated. Global changes will be notified in the app and/or via email.
