The choir website offers three different ways to present people: individual member profiles, highlighted members, and member quotes. They are managed separately.
Let each member choose
Each member controls their own public profile.
- 1
Open your website information
Open Website Customization and choose Customize your information.
- 2
Choose whether to appear
Turn Show me on our website on or off. A profile that is turned off is not shown in the public member list.
- 3
Review the public profile
Check the photo, first name, last name, and role. Choose whether the website may show the full name, first name only, or no name.
- 4
Save the choice
Save, then open the public website to confirm the result.
An administrator's website-editing permission does not replace a member's own visibility choice.
Highlight selected people
Choir administrators can choose Customize highlighted members and add up to three people to a featured section. A highlighted entry can include a photo, name, voice part, title, and descriptive text.
Use this for a conductor, artistic leader, accompanist, soloist, or another person visitors should meet first. On a multilingual website, translate the title and description.
Highlighted members are curated website entries. They are separate from the complete member list and should only be published with the person's agreement.
Add member quotes
Choose Member Quotes to share short experiences from people in the choir. A quote can include the person's name, voice part, role, photo, and quotation.
Good quotes are specific and natural. They might explain why someone joined, what rehearsals feel like, or what makes the choir welcoming. Ask the person to approve the final public wording and photo.
Protect personal information
Before publishing, confirm that the choir has the necessary permission to share:
- recognizable photos and names
- a person's role or voice part
- direct quotations
- recordings or videos containing identifiable people
- contact details
If a member changes their mind, remove or hide the public item promptly without deleting the member from ChoirMate.
Warning
A public website can be viewed and indexed outside the choir. Do not copy private profile details, internal messages, attendance information, or member contact data into website content.
Add a privacy policy under Customize group information that explains how public enquiries and website data are handled.
